Tight bras
- I thought i was gaining weight because after 3 hours, my bra started to be so tight, I felt I had to get it off or stop breathing.I found an undershirt does really well in winter and the tank tops with built in bras are good for summer!

Those waistbands!
- I was so glad to read this! Yesterday I wore a beautiful light wool skirt with a non-stretch band, wanting to look more professional. As the day wore on, it hurt more and more, and I couldn't do anything about it, as the blouse I wore was dressy and couldn't be worn on the outside. Today, I wore clothing more appropriate for a Fibromite. In the second half of the day, my waist in the back started burning like I a had a terrible sunburn, and actually giving off heat. MY solution? That beautiful skirt is going to Goodwill!!!! May it bless someone who hasn't got FMS and CFS. I didn't know anyone else had this problem. Thank you!!!!!

Fibro clothes
- I am flabbergasted that I am not the only one going around in 2 leisure bras, scarves (when indoors), and maternity pants/shorts. I too am ever so picky about fabrics and shoe types (clogs with lots of cushion). For panties, I have found that boy leg style is a relief from elastic at groin. Also, in cooler months, long underwear such as Cuddle Duds (JC Penney) soften the feeling of jeans. Flannel lined jeans are comfy too. I find jewelry just uncomfortable. If I told anyone else this stuff, they'd think I was crazy. Thank you so much for the tips!

clothing pain
- just wanted to say glad im not alone. had trouble with bras and tight pants for yrs now. as far as hose, tights or turtlencks...forget it. ive almost given up on bras. i prefer the summer for minimal clothing and in winter if im home i wear the lightest softest thing i can find. also as little clothing as i can, even then. ppl say my clothes r too big. well this is why. THEY HURT!! jeans r too heavy, no more jeans. just givin input.....

baggy clothes and sports bras
- I like to wear baggy clothes, I won't wear any other bra other than a sports bra-they are more comfortable than the others as the straps don't bind me as much but I only wear them when I have to--in the house NO bras--panties are Hanes Her Way--most tops are 1-2 sizes larger than my usual size--as I am big but I want comfort and if I can find tagless all the better. The softer the socks the better also-as I have problems with continual thick cracking heels and toenails-sorry for the image people. I have trouble with dry skin all the time and haven't found anything for it. I have so many skin allergies also to detergents, soaps, lotions, metals, jewelry etc. Also meds. I've been told it can be related to Fibro. Some days I never get out of my pajamas I just stay in them all day. Sometimes my clothes make me itch and I have to take a benedryl.

Under Garmets/Comfy clothes
- My bra comes off the moment I hit my house. I have removed it when in parking lots because I just couldn't stand wear one another second. I gotta wear under wire-sigh..... Any chance for comfy pants I go for it. My jeans are bagging as waist too large but I don't care. At home always pull on PJ's or elastic waist. Tops that touch my neck. I have cut a deep V in many home clothes so not to have any neck collars/ridges rub that area. Can't sleep unless area bare there. You're right-be comfy at home. If someone one drops by that's' their fault. Rather be cold than hot so I layer clothes whether in or outside..

Turn your socks inside out!!
- It may sound funny and look a bit that way, but who cares?? I enjoy neuropathy (without diabetes, tG) as well as fibromyalgia. Sometimes, those bulky and not-so-bulky seams across my toes cause a great discomfort. Give it a try if you have the same problem.

no more turtle necks
- my first winter with fibro,my turtle neck shirts hurt me so bad around my neck. I cut the turtle neck off and hemmed it. I wear them now for cold winter days, and use a scarf around my neck instead.

I thought I was crazy
- great ideas, the one I do since bras KILL is put my 38DD bra over a soft tee n then dress over that, that way the bra is'nt ripping my skin off! I have had to change my intire wardrobe due to pain, have'nt worn a heal in yrs :) so happy when the ballet flat came out! now I've found slinky on hsn, I however have to have strech waistbands I wear them very loose, AND MATERNITY PANTS I really thought I was never gonna say that aloud, but hey it's all about anything we can do to feel ANY AMOUNT BETTER! I dont get out much but when I do, these help me I did'nt think their were soooo many of us! especially since when I told my docter that "when I pull my underwear up it feels as if I've ripped my skin off and I should b bleeding! " he had never heard of sucha thing! NOr had a few specialists! anyhow god bless u all I hope for a cure doing this 23 yrs :(

good shoes
- i have to wear leather shoes with steel shanks. need the support for standing up and walking. much more expensive than regular shoes. mostly by paul green, in austria. otherwise my tennies, my sweat suits daily and soft, all cotton t shirts. get hot very quickly, and cold, too so layers starting with silk is best for me.

Big Bust Bra's
- Lane Bryant has a Cacique bra that is spandex and cotton, no wires. This supports my 48DDD better than anything I have ever worn. Nothing seems to "dig in or pinch" anywhere. I can wear it al day. They also have Spanx in large sizes. The high top panties have a double gusset in the crotch so you don't have to pull them off to use the bathroom. A godsend when you are hurting and the most comfortable garment I have EVER worn. Other than that, loose "loungewear" gowns, inside out socks and sleep nude! buy a fabric shaver, about 10 dollars for the large size, it removes all the little pills or pimples from your clothing!

Fibromyalgia Pain & Clothes
- Cashmere if you can is good and soft, no bra I don't care if I do sag after four kids!!! my daughter gave me a pair of velour loungers. I really need a zipper to keep me from buckling now and then elasticated trousers, nothing tight, just baggy baggy.

Stuff bras
- Another big boobed bra hater who succumbs to social pressure to wear them. Bonds cotton type with no seams or soft microfibre without metal underwire are best. If you want to take pressure off the neck and shoulders then 2 bras works well. Indian shalwar kameez suits are terrific as they are baggy in the bum but attractive enough to wear out and the shawl can be draped to hide saagy breasts. Another great bra less disguise are waistcoats and vests in denim or dark thick material. Shoes have to be leather or those rubber crocs that bounce me along Thanks for this site I thought I was the only freak out there with severe clothing aversion. I have hated bras all of my life and its worse with cfs. The sicker I am the baggier my clothes have to be.
