How Blogging Has Helped Me
Blogging has given me a space to share my personal experiences. I just started the blog but my ultimate goal is to create a dialogue about how having chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia affect both social and emotional well-being.
My Blog Name
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia: A Day in the Life

Why I Started Blogging
Having lived with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia for 7 years, I think that my experience can provide guidance to others with the same conditions as well as help connect us all though common struggles. I have found that online support groups have been helpful but are often filled with drug recommendations and medical tips. While this information is definitely valuable, I want to create a space that goes beyond discussing the physical problems and captures the social, emotional, and mental effects of living with these chronic illnesses.
How I Did It:
I chose to use Blogger. Because I am looking to blog as a hobby I wanted something that would be free and easy to use. I have been very satisfied with all of the formatting options and "gadgets". It is important to me that my blog feels accessible and easy to follow.
Lessons Learned
- post often
- provide an interactive format with questions at the end of entries
