Medical experts are discovering that the old saying, “laughter is the best medicine,” is more true than they ever realized. Studies have repeatedly found that laughter has both physiological as well as psychological benefits. There are various theories as to the physical mechanisms involved, but the important point is that laughter not only makes us feel better, it helps our bodies to heal. The Internet is full of humor sites. A Google search of the word “humor” turned up 113 million sites! There are even specialized web sites for whatever subject or type of humor you prefer. On some sites you can sign up to receive a joke a day via e-mail.
