New Drug Reference for Breastfeeding Moms
Thursday October 26, 2006
The National Library of Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health, has launched LactMed, a new database of drugs to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. Available information includes: maternal and infant levels of drugs, possible effects on breastfed infants and on lactation, and alternate drugs to consider. If you can’t find a drug by its brand name, try searching by the generic name.
