Is the economy making it hard for you to afford your prescription medications? If you stop taking them as prescribed, it could have a major impact on your health. There are ways to get the drugs you need without breaking the bank - you have several options for getting free or low-cost meds. About.com's Guide to Patient Empowerment, Trisha Torrey, has put together some very helpful information: Save Money on Prescription Drugs.

In addition, you can contact the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. This is a group that brings together drug companies, doctors, advocacy groups and communities to help people get the medications they need. They work with nearly 500 assistance programs. To contact them, click on the link above or call toll free: 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669).
