Monday October 20, 2008

NEWSBRIEF: The FDA was unable to make a decision on the potential fibromyalgia drug milnacipran by the scheduled date, which was October 18. The FDA says it is working to confirm data submitted as part of the New Drug Application and expects to make a decision in a matter of weeks. A specific date has not been released.

Milnacipran has long been approved in Europe for treating depression, but it is not yet approved for any use in the U.S.
